President’s Welcome

Thank you for visiting the website of The Woman’s Club of Raleigh.  This club has served our community since 1904 and I am proud to be the 61st president.  The Woman’s Club of Raleigh, a 501(c)3 non-profit,  has accomplished much through the years and in my administration, we will be volunteering with programs, projects and events that address needs in our community, with a focus on women and children.

The Woman’s Club of Raleigh is an active and proud member of The General Federation of Women’s Clubs in North Carolina (GFWC-NC) and The Greater Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC). Women’s Clubs across our state, country and the world base their efforts in the following areas:  Arts and Culture, Civic Engagement and Outreach, Education and Libraries, Environment, and Health and Wellness.

 “Strengthening our Community” is the focus of my administration and the volunteerism provided by the members will accomplish this in many ways.    From singing at senior living facilities to promoting voter registration; from docenting at the Governor’s Mansion to promoting recycling; from providing donations to the Diaper Bank of NC to delivering lunch to The Women’s Center; from awarding scholarships to high school seniors and mature women to distributing community grants to other local non-profits – The Woman’s Club of Raleigh has a diverse portfolio of activities.

A Community Impact Project (CIP) is chosen by each President.   For the two years of my administration, the members of the club will focus on providing support to the UNC Cancer Center on Blue Ridge Road.   We will support the patients, families, and staff involved with a cancer diagnosis and treatment plan.
