Arts Festival Information STUDENTS

The 2018-2019 Arts Festival of The Woman’s Club of Raleigh and Junior Woman’s Club of Raleigh was Monday, January 28, 2019 from noon until 9:00 p.m. at The Woman’s Club of Raleigh, 3300 Woman’s club Drive, Raleigh NC 27612. More about next year’s festival soon.

The Arts Festival is billed as the largest Arts recognition program for young people in North Carolina and is in its 50th year. Awards information and entry forms are now available for students from the Raleigh area. Students in Grades 6-8 may participate in Crafts, Visual Arts, and Photography (www.jwcraleigh.org). Students in Grades 9-12 may participate in Music, Visual Arts, Crafts, and Photography.

Students intending to enter Music should notify the Woman’s Club of Raleigh about their intention to enter by Monday, January 22, 2019 by emailing artsfestival@womansclubofraleigh.org. Music contest entrants can also call 919-833-2490. Entrants will be advised about their time of arrival by the contest Chairman. The arrival times will be 6:00 p.m. on Monday, January 28, the day of the contest. Winners will be announced the day of the Arts Festival.

First place winners at The Woman’s Club of Raleigh local Arts Festival will advance to compete at the GFWC-NC District VI Arts Festival at First Baptist Church in Raleigh, on Saturday, February 16, 2019. The first place winners at the District VI Arts Festival will advance to the GFWC-NC State Arts Festival competition at Campbell University, Buies Creek, on Saturday, March 2, 2019 tentative.
